Welcome to Syra Swimwear, by Ellie
I’ve always loved the beach, it’s my happy place. I’m a 14-year-old surf lifesaver and gymnast, and I spend most of my time either training, in the ocean, or designing new patterns. I've always been obessed with the idea of owning my own business, and it's finally come to life.
That idea became Saltè Swimwear, now changing into Syra Swim.
Syra started because I could never find swimwear that truly fit what I wanted; cute, comfortable, and made for teens. Everything I saw was either super childish with thick waistbands and cartoon prints, or way too skimpy to feel comfortable wearing around friends or at the surf club. And don’t even get me started on training swimmers, they’re great for performance, but the tan lines? Absolutely terrible. I wanted something that looked good and worked for running straight from the surf club gym into the ocean after a hard workout. So every piece from Syra is made to be functional, flattering, and fun.
But Syra isn’t just about swimwear, it’s about confidence. It’s for the girls who spend all day at the beach, who love to surf, swim, train, or just hang out in the sun. I want Syra to be something you can wear and feel good in; strong, stylish, and comfortable in your own skin.
This is just the beginning. Right now, I’m starting with swimwear, but one day I’d love to expand into more into accessories that fit the Syra vibe.
Syra is my dream come to life, and I hope it becomes part of yours too.
